Bone Marrow Transplantation

Bone marrow transplantation is procedure wherein stem cells from bone marrow that produce various blood cells like red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets are injected into a recipient after a short cource of chemotherapy called conditionaning.

BMT is an extremely safe procedure for the donor. Patient can return to this normal routine in 6 months – 1 year post successful transplant.
