– Bone marrow transplantation is procedure wherein stem cells from bone marrow that produe various blood cells like red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets are injected into a recipient after a short cource of chemotherapy called conditionaning.

– BMT is an extremely safe procedure for the donor.
– Patient can return to this normal routine in 6 months – 1 year post successful transplant.
